"I just fell into the role of the drummer because it was the only thing left to do - we had the four people before we decided what were gonna happen with this band. It was like let’s start, let’s be a band, and they had guitars lying around that they’d never even picked up, from Argos or whatever. I suppose I was kind of interested in the drums, I’d see a drum kit at school, but I didn’t know what each drum was called, or what you did with your feet. So then it was quite lucky that I could do it." —Matt Helders

It’s cool to see someone who’s like a queen of pop, like a Miley Cyrus, covering one of your tracks and making it almost like a bubblegum pop song. So, is that a head spin for you?
Why most of reblogs are from allyourstoriesarestale ???!!!

Many fans have interpreted the song title as a double-entendre and Alex Turner’s lyrics to be of an uncharacteristically sexual nature. The Arctic Monkeys lyricist and chief songwriter denied this interpretation of the song’s meaning to The London Times: “Absolutely not,” Turner said. “If that was a euphemism, then I wouldn’t be saying that my propeller wouldn’t spin - ‘cos you wouldn’t wanna go shouting that out, would you?” When pressed as to what the song is really about, he added: “It’s more describing a mood more than an organ. A descent. It’s about a descent.” Turner refused to elaborate any further. My Propeller - Arctic Monkeys (2009)
